$199.99 rip off

I got a card in the mail from Capital Credit Alliance saying I need to call and activate my card for a $6,000 limit. They gave me an Address to write to and a customer support number to call which is P.O. Box 46101 Las Vegas NV 89114-6101 U.S.A. ThePhone Number for support is 1-800-277-7056.

They say that if you act now you can qualify to increase your credit limit to $8,500 and in order to participate you need to activate the card with a processing fee of $199.99 (they told me $199.95) and your account will be credited $200 towards merchandise in their online store. They said the site is under construction for updating reasons and they will send a catalog for you to order. Sounds fishy after giving my bank information, so I tried to cancel the fee and the acount.

They claim they can't cancel and the only way to cancel is to put a stop payment through the bank. Of course I put in the stop payment for the $199.95 they stated, only to find out they really debited $199.99 which the bank couldn't fix because it is a different amount. If these people send you a card or any correspondence saying you have an account with them and all you need to do is call RIP IT UP!!!
