Miscellaneous

There was a craig's list posting for an executive assistant. It was fairly vague, but I applied. Within 12 hours I received a reply from Steven Poole at Newman Careers & Partners stating that I qualified to continue to the next phase of the application process. This step was to do an only "pre-interview screening". The site looked pretty professional and standard. I completed the questions and it took my to a "identity verification section" This involved setting up an account with creditreport.com. I had already signed with them before, so I had to spend $29.95 to continue. I chose to do this, as an interview for a great job would be worth it. I researched the company today and found this to be the first thing to pop-up. I have not verified for certainty that this was truly fake, but will update the site of exactly what comes from this potentially terrible situation. If I discover that is was false advertisement, despite promises of security, I will be contacting my lawyers.
