Miscellaneous

I received a HSBC Bank USA official check for $3,980. From (claim agent) Michael Quest (1-289-892-6021) total entitlement $150.000.00. And a letter stating, "the sole purpose of the check is for the payment of applicable Government Taxes on your big winnings. Government taxes cannot be deducted from the winning amount because of the insurance policy coverage. The tax amount is $1,995.00 US Dollars (One thousand nine hundred Ninety five dollars) to be paid directly to the tax agent." I called the number and Mr. Quest answered the phone and he was not pleasant, I said hello, I said yes what is this, he said you tell me you called me. He said this is a winning because I shopped at Walmart or homedepot. He asked me, you have shopped at walmart and homedepot in the last 2 months havent you? I said yes. Then he proceeded to tell me about depositing the check into my account and I was suppose to call him back after the check is deposited, so he can give me the address where I can send money to pay for taxes on my winnings. It hit a nerve, so I looked up info and Internet and found out it was a scam... Don't do it because the check will bounce and you will be accountable for that $3,980.
