False advertisng and fraudulent practices

Bigger Bidder is a scam auction site. They advertise, like most penny auction sites, that you can achieve savings of up to 99%.in fact you will end up paying more than the original price of the item.

Everything on their site has a 'reserve in place'. Everything except their bonus points packages. Even their $15 gift cards from McDonalds have a reserve on them. If you win you will need to make up the difference to match the reserve price.

I bid and 'won' on a MacBook Air laptop with a retail value of $999.99. I received an email congratulating me on my win and told me that the difference I would need to pay would be $997.6 plus shipping.

I can only presume that all items are fixed this way and once you have 'won' you will receive the email asking you to pay full price plus shipping less the amount at the final bid, which is usually a few cents or a few dollars.

This site is a disgrace and a complete and utter ripoff.
