They led me to believe that they would try and get my interest rates down on my credit cards, not that they would, but they would try to. When it came to their "couseling" session, I was presented with three options. The first option was the above mention of them calling my credit card companies and negociating a lower percentage. Then they gave me two more options. Asked which one I would choose, I said the first option, which is the one that led me to the program. The counselor then says, no, you would be better off with option 2, a transfer of balances. I was furious. They scammed me and took my money.
I asked to leave the program because they bascially lied to me. They said the only way to leave would be to pay off all my debt. I was screwed.
