James Arntz of Troy Oh talked my dad into investing $160,000 in South Mountain resort in North Carolina. He said he would get a return of 7%. My dad fell for this and invested. He got a couple checks that were sent to James Arntz's address and then Mr. Arntz would write a check to my dad. Then all of a sudden no more checks came and the guy who was building this resort filed bankruptcy. Therefore, my dad lost $160,000. As far as I know James Arntz is still up there in Troy, OH ripping people off. We went to an attorney, but they said because my dad passed away in Feb. 2000 that nothing could be done.
