Miscellaneous

I'm a FLorida resident who thought I was just registering for the penny auction website BidRack. But, through the insanely misleading web-maze they'd set up, I accidently purchased a $99 bid-pack. Immediately, I contacted the company to reverse the charges, but was told they have a strict no-refund policy. I should have fought harder then to get my money back... But, like an idiot, I assumed I'd be able to use my bids and might break even. Was I ever wrong!

Over the next several months, I'd occasionally check the site for something that might interest me. All I say were items that were obviously too good to be true, obvious knock-offs advertised as the genuine article (like bootleg Gameboy units), and other dollar-store wares. I never used any of the bids I had mistakenly purchased.

Then, last night, 10/28, I found that they had closed down. I should be happy, since they would no longer be able to scam people out of their cash... But they closed with all of my $99 and doubtless other people's money as well.

I certainly hope a FL Class Action Suit against these con men comes along soon... Because I am not happy.
