I started to get calls two weeks ago from a man with an accent, I couldnt understand some of what he says, he says his name was raymond thompson and that I owe 578.00 from a loan, I asked for information to be mailed to my home and he said he could not do that. When I was not going to do what he wanted he said he would call my work monday morning and have me fired so being scared I asked what should I do he told me how to write up a loan agreement statement and wanted me to fax it. Well when I didnt he started calling asking me about the fax. I kept trying to get informations about a so called loan that I never took. He said cash advance, so I went on to cash advance.com and it says that are not a lender that people are posing as reps and it could be a scam. The calls continued now being more forceful that threatened to call my manager at work. I again asked to have the loan document sent to me, I was told that was impossible. I told them to stop harrassing me and that I was going to get an attorney, he just stated making sacratic comment. Well this past friday I was made aware at work by my director about a raymond thompson calling having a phone number of 8047280872, which was the number being used to call me. I was told that called numberous, numberous times, I worked friday I didnt get any call but was called by at supervisor telling about the calls that night same as the day before, I was also told that the ceo of my company talked to this person about the calls, the calls stopped friday at 530 both at home and at work, no calls at all monday at home or work, finally thought it was over that they stopped, I was wrong. Tuesday (10/25) I got the first call at 10 and then the phone were flooded, there are 3 phones on the unit with overflow lines all were being called at the same time, I know it was the sames caller because I was able to pick them up and pick up acct buttom. The number would be 0000. The kept asking for the ceo but name with valgur lang after, when we wouldnt comply they would call back again and again and again for hours straight using sexual contented lang, threatening people who answer, I called the local police, the said the call was coming from richmond, va. I dont know what else to do... I am so humiliated by this because everyone at work know of what is happening, I never did anything wrong... I just want the phone calls to stop at work as well as at home but mostly at work because its affected the station I am working at. Can someone please help me. I have reported this same story on cash advance website on the scam alert page I was even able if it turns out to be true the phone companys page I found is supposedly associated with the number, I just dont know what else to so to make it stop. If anyone can help I would be greatful and relieve. Tired of living in fear.
