Landlord Negligence!

We blindy rented a mobile home on Craigslist and by this I have learned a huge lesson! The interior had at least 100 nail holes per room. No exaggeration! The bathroom reeked of urine and the place has a smell that no one will EVER get rid of! Carpet in the back bathroom which was filthy. The AC is outdated, the indoor-coil was rusted out with an odor, thermostat was outdated, pressure tank outdated, water draining under house. And if you a repair you may get it within 3 weeks but you will have to Call again!

Our light bill was extremely high for 2 months due to the pressure tank being old and leaking in which he covered with insulation to hide! In the beginning told us we were responsible to pay $10 for a street Light that didn't lightthe yard! We put a lot of money into moving and then when I realized how bad it was and was basically stuck tip we accumulated more money to get out, I cleaned the carpets which took 2 days to do and I had to clean a lb of gook out every 5 minutes. I cleaned the walls, kilzs'd, and painted thinking it would help With the stench. Wrong! I tore out the old flooring in the bathroom and put new floor tiles down. I also patched 5 holes to keep the mice out. I had to bleach our utensils every other day due to mouse droppings!

I can't believe a person would rent out a place so Disgusting! Even after all the very hard work I put into cleaning and fixing that place you can still walk in and it smells Like a locker room! If you decide to take the chance to rent that place the vanilla he sprays and the stick ups he puts up before you come in isn't gonna last a couple days! Be very careful, I learned. You get what you pay for and cheaper rent means you better be aware of what your getting into; We paid more money in the long run. We could have gotten a nice house for what we put in that place! He conveniently cut the trees down where the street light is after we refused to pay it and after we moved out.

Also did I mention my husband kids and I have been living in a motel for 2 weeks? Obviously notdue to lack of funds for rent or we couldn't afford the motel room. I will let who ever reads this figure out the rest. Beware!
