Warranty Refusal

I want to complain about the level of service that i received from Checkers Kenilworth Centre where i was returning a faulty pan that is under warranty. The store refuses to exchange it for me. They say that the pan has been used and that they can't take such items. What i feel to understand is that the fact why do they still put warranty under their items if when an item actually does have a fault then they won't take it back due to its appearance. Because clearly i did not buy the pan to decorate with it, i bought because i wanted to use it.

The Supervisor and the manager on duty that both agreed that they will not take it back but failed to show me on the warranty terms & conditions where it says that they will not exchange an item due to its appearance. I will never ever do my shopping there again because if this how they treat their customers then i don't want to be associated with them anymore. But i must say that i am highly dissappointed in the store.
