I called this office from the yellow pages to find out the cost for replacement dentures. The worker told me to come in for a free consultation and learn about all the latest advances that had been made since getting my dentures many years earlier—not at this practice. After meeting with the Dentist for about 15 to 20 minutes during which time he explained advances in dentures and implants.
I was told that the fee for the consultation was $85.00! I told the lady that she must be joking. She said that she was not joking and that my insurance didn't cover it. The Dentist had his 3 children and wife at the office, I, apparently, was the last patient (victim) for that day. This was his last time to work on Saturdays and Since his wife and children were present I decided to not create a negative situation so I decided to just pay it and do something about it later. If his wife and children were not there, I would have confronted the Dentist directly. I want my money back. I was deceived. Since when does getting a price quote for replacement dentures consitute a billable charge, especially, if you're lured into the office on a free consultation basis?
