Rip-off! They stole $44.85 from my checking account

This all started for me when I purchased "Finishing Touch" off of an infomercial back in January. It took about 6 weeks before I received the product and then in March I noticed that there was a charge of $14.95 from MWI Galleria.

I contacted the number and the guy tried to explain what they were and basically it's a discount company where you call in and say you want a card for $25 and you can save like 20% or something. I told him I was not interested and to cancel all transactions. I left it at that.

Then I was checking my account again and noticed that another company Carepair charged $7.99 to my account. I called them immediately and a lady said that she would cancel my account and credit me $15 for the 2 times they charged my account. I then noticed that Galleria charged my account again another $14.95. I called them and they were rude stating that that's what I get for buying off of an infomercial and that I probably through out the membership from the mail because of all the junk mail.

I requested cancelation and he told me that in my contract (what contract) that they can only refund me $14.95. I said fine just stop taking my money. The man said that they have a verbal agreement from me on audio from when I purchased the original product I proceeded to ask him to get that proof for me. Well, let's just say I never heard myself say "Yes, please take my money and give me nothing in return or without my confirmation.

I do concider myself one of the lucky ones because I got this in time before I lost more money. I am still out about $68.82 before any rufunds which I will be surprised to see.

I contacted my bank who said wait a week before we cancel and reissue by debit card with a new number because they wouldn't be able to put to credit back if we cancel the card.

I will now check my account daily and call both companies everyday to confirm my credit and cancellation.
