Scam -
I thought i was buying a camper van - I couldnt go and see the van because it was many many miles away - however the seller was to offer me protection under the ebay buyer protection programme. I thought that this was good. I first saw the van on Gumtree, when I approached him he moved it to ebay by sending me a link I hit the buttom commit to buy and asked my bank to wire transfer the money - to a bank account which was held in spain! I did not receive my camper van and have not received my money back - the money is frozen in a bank account and not getting much help from the police either in spain or in the uk. Im at my wits end and struck for cash now with no transport! To top it all i have to walk my daughter to school everyday and it takes us over an hour. What with winter coming fast we will be doing this in the winter months as there is no way I can afford to by another van.
