I was called on my cell phone thursday 9/29 saying i had been selected to receive 7,000 dollars in grant money. I all had to do to receive this was go to a western union store and pay 210.00 dollars and i would then receive this money in 10 minutes. I asked a series of questions is this a scam they told me no this is real money and no false advertising. I then called back to ask the same questions i was told no this is real money. I then went to a western union store and paid the 210.00 dollars which cost me 220.00 to transfer this money. Once they got the mtcn number they told me to call 202-621-0066 they were waiting on my call. I then called that number a man answered and told me i was then approved fot 7,700 but i had to pay city and state taxes on this money which was 700.00 and i told them i dont have that kind of money. He then clicked over and had me on hold for about 1 hour. He then clicks back over and tell me all i have to pay is 350.00 and then pay the other 350.00 once i received my cash. I transfered the 350.00 which cost me 360.00at this time. He then asked for the mtcn number and i gave him that number he said my funds was tranfering to me in the amount of 7,700. I was on the line with this man and next thing i know the phone hung up. I kept calling and calling and never got an answer the lady at the western union store had kept checking for the funds and they were never transferred to me. I have been scammed by these people out of my money and im very upset this was my rent, cable, internet, and phone bill money that i was took for so im upset and in a bine
