2 Young Salesperson supposedly part of a job training program sold me overpriced magazine subscription. Everything was bogus!

Miscellaneous

On May 27, 2 young men came to the door stating that they were a part of a management training program. They both had gotten into trouble and been incarcerated. As a result, they found this program that was providing business training for them. It was 100 degrees that day and I even furnished both salespersons with water.

I was asked to help them out by purchasing magazines from the company Better Image. The company was supposed to have some special financial arrangement with the magazines. I guess that is how they received their compensation which I believe was some type of training allowance.

I picked out one magazine (Elle) and pad a total of $29.00 plus $15 for processing and handling for a total of $44.00. I was given a receipt. On the receipt it had the company's info. The receipt also said to allow for 90 to 120 days for delivery.

Of course, I waited and waited and finally sent an email to the company Better Image which bounced back to me. I then went to the website which was once up and it was not there anymore.

It is a total scam...
