Consumer Report

On 8/16 my husband paid $1 for a report. On 8/21 our account was charged $18.95 for a monthly membership fee which he did know he was purchasing. After seeing my statement, around 9/15, I tried to call the phone number listed for Look Up ltd listed on the statement. I received a message stating to comunicate with them online at www.seektd.com. I communicated with "Rick" who cancelled the account gave me a cancelation#. When I asked about a refund I was told,
"We apologize for the inconvenience. There was clearly some confusion with this purchase. We do not want to see our customers unhappy. I would like to process a refund for the current month’s charge, however; due to technical issues caused during our maintenance to the site, this option is not available at this time. Please contact us again on September 21, at which time we hope to have our refund process fully operational again."

On 9/26 when I tried to contact them at their website to resolve this matter I received the following message:

Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
