Already being indecisive and having been taught to be polite at all costs, my mother found that she had a staggering (almost $700) bill on a fixed income with no clear idea of how it had come about (probably having some dementia already). When I attempted to help untangle this billing mess, the company would only give her a credit of $100 or reassign those magazines to another person or organization. Even her VISA slipped the surly bonds of responsibility;
so she is paying $38 per magazine per YEAR when all her renewal
letters currently are offering $11, $15, or free gifting subscriptions!
