Gary Bazzani Apparently has contempt for the disabled, and for law that aids the disabled

On Sep. 7th at about 11:30am, I arrived at a strip mall on Airport Park Blvd.in Ukiah CA. Once again I found a truck owned by BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Backed into a clearly marked handicap parking stall.

There are only two handicap parking stalls, and the physically capable CONSTRUCTION workers that work for BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Seem to have decided that the law doesn't apply to them. Since they have been doing this same thing now for many weeks in the same spot (s) it is clear that they have no moral compass that would guide them to just do the right thing.

Yes, we all know that there are others in society that should not have parking placards. Those who abuse the system. We have all also seen those with no placards disregard the disabled. When I see this kind of behavior... I have the same outrage I feel right now toward BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Of Ukiah, CA.

Yet BAZZANI does deserve a bit more of this outrage for a few specific reasons. First, today and a few other times in the past, I witnessed handicapped drivers attempting to use the space (s), and who couldn't because of BAZZANI. Next, when I called BAZZANI today as I left the area... I left a message I described the problem and what I would do if it continued. The woman who was call screening (businesses who do call screening have "issues" in my book) picked up the phone and demanded that I confront the driver of the vehicle. I told her, no... If it continued, I would block the vehicle in and call the police or Sheriff.

She called me back later with a message. The new defense-du-jour was that they have authority to use the spot since the job they are doing (completely on the interior of an office with absolutely no presence outside of that unit other than their vehicles) created "safety" issue in which they then had the authority to take the space, even though there was no work outside of the building, no equipment staged outside of the building, no "hazard" or other signs indicating "safety" issues... And no hazard zones taped off. As you can see, the latest defense is complete TRIPE.

To make matters worse, the BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Representative then told me to go ahead and contact the Sheriff. That they knew every Sheriff in the County. Towards the end of the discussion the BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Rep then accused me of "smoking crack". Smoking crack, because I do not much care for losers like BAZZANI who fart in the faces of the disabled.

There you have it. This was my experience with BAZZANI BUILDING CO. Of Ukiah, CA. I do not know anything about the quality of their work and do not care about it much. If I were going to hire a construction company, it would be one who did not violate the law simply because they are too stinking lazy to walk a couple extra feet, or one who disregarded the disabled in the manner described. I would not hire a company that had such little integrity, that they would accuse a disabled veteran of smoking crack, simply because they do not like being called on their bad behavior. I also would not hire a company that would use their pals in the Sheriff Department in order to continue abusing the disabled and the law. As a side note... The Raiders crap completely covering the back window of the truck about says it all regarding these (butt) pirates. Rape, pillage and plunder can become a lifestyle to people that lack integrity.

Quality construction companies are a dime-a-dozen. Do yourself a favor. Do the handicapped a favor. Find a company that respects itself, its community, the disabled, and the law.
