I used the craigslist link recommended to me as I wanted a room/apartment in West Village for one week whilst visiting friends. Chris Mitchell was one of about seven who responded, and I looked at the area map and chose his response as his apartment was the closest to where I needed to be. He offered to collect me from airport (I was travelling from the UK) and take me to the apartment and handover of keys. All went well until the money was transferred over UDS$ 780.00 - the contact number given to me was only an answering service. The apartment proved to belong to an elderly lady in a Co-Op building and had absolutely nothing to do with Christ Mitchell who was never contactable.
