I signed up for a course in accounting and they asked about my GED and I told them I would get my GED on the side and then they sing me for a two year course. I was at a 4.0 average after over a year of study and realized I was not getting any accounting classes and I was not getting no funding for living expence plus the money that I was promissed at the time of signing up. I called Phoenix University to find out what was going on. And learned that they signed me to a four year course and told me that I would not get any extra money for anything because I did not live in that state and that I owed money for the four year course. I did not authorize them to sign me to that contract, I was lied to about getting cost of living money plus money for books, PC, rent, etc. Edfund has forced me to pay by garnishing my pay at work taking my tax refunds and now they sold my contract to a third party named ECMC that took my last tax refund over $ 2.000. I got ahold of the Attorney Genral and they said they could not find records because it was all electronicly signed and could not help me. I was ripped off and ECMC has sent the money they say I owe to a collection agency saying that I still owe them $8.000. Why would I or anybody pay $20.000 for a GED that I never authorized. A GED cost $3.00 a test back then. Can anybody help me. Phoenix University used fraud to get me to take their classes. Nothing but lies.
