Tire Noise Problem

Purchased General Altimax RT tires made by Continental Tire Co. For both my 07 Chevy Impala and 05 Honda Odyssey. These tires are so noisy that the tire whine will drive you crazy on a long trip. No its not road noise but a loud whine more like a truck tire than a passenger car tire. Continental Tire Co. Claims the noise is due to wheel alignment.

I had the Chevy four wheel aligned to the tune of $90.00 and the excessively loud whine from the tires is still there! I asked to have the loudest tire replaced on a pro-rated basis but Continental Tire Co. Refused to do that claiming there is no defect in the tire. What a lousy customer service decision. They are willing to lose a customer and get bad press just to save a couple dollars and will not admit they have a problem with tire workmanship and/or design.Pro-rate adjusting the one tire on the Chevy that causes the loudest objectionable tire whine would have satisfied my complaint but instead they chose to refuse to do it. I will never again purchase anything manufactured by the Continental Tire Co., period.
