Peter Forest (not his real name I've learned), was an owner of a jewelry store in NYC. "Peter" was selling phony websites on BizBuySell.

He requested 10K down and the rest later. We had a contract drawn up and off we went. A week later after the transfer it was clear the site was fake, the documents were fake, the person was fake. Never heard from him again! I was able to trace him and find his real name and place of business. I also filed complaints with several agencies, etc.

I inquired about the site. "Peter" sent me all the documents showing how much business the site was doing with Amazon. It was an Amazon front page site which earned commissions when someone clicked on the site and bought on Amazon. He sent me FAKE Amazon invoices, pay records, etc. All with Amazon headings, etc. Site looked good. He promised to train, etc.
