This afternoon a lady with strong accent called to let me know that the Reinvestment from Taxes chose me to receive $7000. I asked why I was the chosen one. She said that it was because I paid tax on time, never filed bankruptcy, and no criminal record. She asked me 4 things: Name, Address, Age and Occupation. Also, she asked me what I going to do with the money. After that, she gave me a confirmation number, and accountant name (Caroline Anderson) and a phone number (202-559-7621) to call. She also offers me if I wanted to receive the money from my bank account or to my credit card and it only takes 45min to receive. I said I prefer check from the mail. After I hanged up, I checked online and I found out it should be a scam. And I found out the incoming call number was 202-607-2068 and the name registered on the phone was Onite Mckinno. I do not know that personal info I gave out would create a future monetary damage and I still want to let people know about this kind of scam.
