Applebees Bar & Grill
Loud music rude

My wife and I took a friend to have an evening meal at the Trenton Rd. Applebees, Edinburg, Texas. The background "music" was so loud that we could not carry on a normal conversation. We requested that it be turned down to four or five staff personnel, but to no avail. Finally, we made our request to the manager who rebuffed our request with the ridiculous excuse that the volume had to be set as it was and could not be changed. Because his predecessor manager and other Applebees stores have honored our request it seemed like a weak and rude response. Thankfully, there are many many other choices for eating out in the McAllen area.
