I was making a booking online for Manila-LAX-SYD flight. The process went all the way to the end including entering credit card details, then an error message. I tried to start over, but the price had increased significantly, so I finally booked with another agent. Then the charge came through on the credit card from Direct Flights although they never sent me any confirmation email, receipt or itinerary. I went to their website to work things out. I called their phone numbers in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane and got the same recording on each—wait in a queue until finally a message informs me that operator 150 is unavailable and to leave a message. I left a couple of messages, but no calls back.
