Woman I planned to marry lost the money I sent

I am coming out of a big depression because around the same time I lost my brother and my dad and got divorced. This girl contacted me 3 months ago, and after nice communication and sending me pictures, we were supposed to get married in the USA because of my status. She said she would come to me and get a visa to travel to the USA. After I sent the money, she said that before she went to the airport she was assaulted and lost all the money, and she had to go back home and told me she is not coming. I already have everything ready to get married.
