I called United Locksmith for a service call on a car lockout. They said they could send someone, but could not give me a price quote, that the technician would have to do that. I asked if the company would accept VISA, and I was told that would be no problem. When the technician called my husband's cell phone, the quote was for $19 for the service call and $29 for labor. He was not told that this was a minimum price for labor and that his charge would probably be much higher. When the techician arrived, he remarked that it was a nice car, and told my husband that the labor cost would be $99. It took him about 2 minutes to open the car. Then he explained there would be a 10% service charge to use VISA. My husband felt that he had been mislead on the price of the service, but he needed to get in his car so he agreed to pay it, and charged it to his VISA.
