I purchased loan repayment insurance for $381 which would pay back my lenders in the event that I lost my job or died. The document looked like any other of my insurance documents. The gentleman told me due to my credit history I was unable to receive a loan from one lender unless I paid $700 up front and that he rejected that offer. He told me not to worry that he will find another lender because he doesnt get paid until I get my $4000 loan. He called me and told me that he found another lender but I would have to pay $400 up front. I asked if this would be the end of it and I would get my money. He stated yes. I asked for him to fax me a document stating this. I sent the $400 on 07-15-11. I called and waited and called and waited for a week. He finally stated that due to money laundering laws that the Jamaican government would not release the funds to me until I paid $400. So I asked him to refund all my money. He said it would cost me $300 plus to get the refund. So I said that I would be will to let them keep the $381 if they refund me my $400. He is still trying to get me to send another $400.
