Craigslist ad for car was for 2002 Acura CL with a clean title and less than 80k miles. Price $5,500 plus $200 for DVD Stereo. Tested car under 40 miles speed, I didn't see engine light on as it was covered with a picture and documentation of salvage title was stapled covering it. When driving car home and hit speed limit over 50 miles the tcs light came on. I removed the picture that was glued on to the panel and thats when I noticed the seller was hiding that the engine light, maintenance required light and the TCS light were all on. I then went back and looked at the title checked under the stapled bill of sale and saw that the title was salvaged and not clean.
I called the seller but never returned my call. I was sold a salvage title car and ended paying for a clean title car. The salvage title is worth a lot less than what I paid for.
