Number Porting - Magic Jack Complaints

I purchased Magic Jack back in July because it seemed like a good purchase. I went with the purchase because i was told i would be able to port my old phone number. I went home and installed it but was not able to port my phone number. I went to the FAQ section and it stated i would be able to port in August. August rolled around, then September, and in November it was reported I will be able to port my phone number in November. It is now January and still not able to port my old phone number. Meanwhile in November their FAQ said they were beta testing and if i wanted to be included in the beta test i could give them my email address and they would contact me to beta test. I have not heard from them and with government regulations and FCC stating that i should be able to take my phone number with me when i leave a provider, will MagicJack be forced to live up to it's advertisment? I have been paying my carrier since July just to be able to keep my phone number and it cost to have internet service plus digital phone.
