Rip Off Scam

On June 11 we stopped at the Murphy USA in Nevada, Missouri... And purchased $20 in gas using our bank debit card. When we went to check our balance we discovered that they put a $75.00 hold on our account. When we called to see why this was placed on it and hadn't been removed after 2 days we were told that our Bank was the one who had actually placed the hold on the card. Not Murphy USA. So I went into my bank just minutes later and checked to see what the deal was I discovered that Murphy USA had flat out lied to me. That they were the one's that had placed the $75.00 on the account.

Now they are refusing to remove it and place the money back into the account. They are saying my bank is responsible to remove it. Which they are not responsible since they are not the one's who placed it there. I was also told by my bank that the $20.00 has already been paid to them. Murphy USA is a rip off. They owe us $75.00 and I will spend more then that trying to get it back. But... I will be darn if I'm letting them get by with it. I'm standing up for our rights. And if anyone else has had this problem with this so called company. I hope you stand up against them too.
