I wrote American Mint a letter requesting to cancel my membership and send me not more coins. As I have been on Social Security and a small pension since retiring in September, 1995 I could no longer continue to collect coins. The American Mint continued to send me coins, of which I returned three that were more valuable than what I was informed that I owed to them. American Mint has continued to harass me with treatening letters and telephone calls. They informed me that I had signed up for their coins program and that I had to accept the coins that they send to me. I believe that I had a legal right to cancel my membership in their program as I could no longer continue to collect coins.
