Long Shipping Times & Rude Customer Service

Five days after I placed my order online, I received an email from them stating that they haven't shipped my order yet and are "waiting for a big order from our supplier." Realizing that the order would now not arrive in time, I sent an email requesting a refund. The response I received was as follows: "We will gladly cancel your order and refund your card. I can't accept customers who won't, can't or don't read. Unfortunately, you seem to have overlooked what it says on my site where you order Al-Anon medallions: http://impressions-gifts.com/ala.htm, These Medallions cost $1.20 each. Our supplier always has these medallions in stock. However, as we don't always have them in stock, it will take up to 3 weeks for you to receive them. Please let us know when you need them when you order."

I wrote back that Mr. Dunn's editorializing about my reading skills was not appropriate. He responded with more insults and the email exchange has continued.in my opinion, impressions-gifts.com has not behaved in a professional manner. They should have just refunded my money without the rude comments (which still continue). Further, their website offers confusing statements, such as: "MPRESSIONS strives to meet your recovery gift needs quickly" and then in the next paragraph: "IMPRESSIONS is a home-based business. Therefore, we do not have much room to store merchandise. Because of this your order may not be immediately available. It could take several weeks to receive your order."

So which is it? Are they going to meet our recovery needs quickly, or am I to understand that if I order from them, I should just plan on it taking several weeks before my order is delivered? I also find it ironic that the proprietor of a business selling 12-step recovery products seemingly doesn't even have the "serenity" to issue a simple refund without including a snotty email.
