We were ready to purchase $2,829 worth of furniture at Logan Furniture in Watertown. We put down a good faith deposit in the amount of $1,000 on Saturday, April 23 to show that we were serious about purchasing the furniture. We discussed with the salesman that we were in the process of closing on a home and had to wait until Thursday, April 28 to finalize the order of the furniture since that was the day of the closing. We told him that we are putting the deposit down but in case the deal doesn't go through, we would like our deposit back. He said no problem, I will take care of you and you will get your money back. When we found out that the deal on the home did not go through, we promptly went to the store and spoke with Khalid and told him our issue. He told us that we cannot get our money back and suggested that we speak to Grassan since he is the salesperson we dealt with. He also said we can call the location in Avon at 508-232-7595. Grassan only works weekends. We returned on Saturday, April 30 and Grassan was not working. We spoke with a very rude store manager and he also told us that we cannot get our money back and he stated "we will not get one penny back from them." I called the Avon store that Khalid referred me to and the person stated that he is just the manager of the warehouse and has no control over those issues.
We live in an apartment right now and have no room for any of the furniture that we were ready to purchase. We also have no home to move to and have to start the home search again. Wehave no idea when we will be moving.
