PCA is not very good to their lab employees.in December I was I had 6 vacation days and was made to pick those days right then because our vacation days recycle in feb. I took my days, but when i received my paycheck I only received pay for the days I worked, the vacation days were $0, and stated my vacation days exeeded the days allowed. I had bills due, and almost had my utilities cut off, because I knew how much my check should have been, but received only 2days pay, minus the vacation days.

It was an error on the companies behalf. That is not my fault, and I should be compensated in some way. I would have been at work earning a paycheck if I knew I had no vacation time left. The past 2 years I had sick days left and never used them, I saved them money. There should be a law protecting employees against this. I should not have been allowed to take those days if they weren't available. I lost a lot of money, I had to pay my utility bill with that check but had no money left for anything, not even groceries for my kids.

Another problem I have is I was told we were to work extra hours during busy seasons, I have no problem with that. The overtime helps out my family. But the rest of the year it is slow, but they still make us sign up on the overtime sheet every week! But there isn't even enough work to last a whole week. So we are working longer days for less hours. But all of management is salary so they get paid even if we don't. So they push us harder for their longer weekends.

During the Christmas season we worked 10 and 12 hour shifts for weeks at a time, with no days off, mostly just the lab had to work on weekends. But all we got in return was a letter wishing us a merry christmas. All the supervisors and up the corporate ladder, I was told they received bonuses. We received nothing.

They wonder why they have a large turnover rate with their lab employees; it is because they treat us like crap. They don't value our suggestions or our opinions. And certain employees are treated better than others, it depends on who you know. They can get away with things most of us would get fired for.

I was accused of having an affair with a fellow employee a few years ago, and was made to have a conference with someone in upper management. They asked me inappropriate questions, and asked me about things I do on my own time that wouldn't even pertain to my job.

I felt they were wrong and wanted to sue them for violating my privacy, but my husband said no, that they would probably fire me for that. First of all the only thing I did to make them think I was having an affair was to talk to fellow employee of the opposite sex on my lunch break everyday. I didn't know that was grounds to report me for misconduct.

I have seen so many employees harassed and treated bad in our lab, I now refer to my job as a lab rat
