Rude and Unprofessional Treat by Docto

To whom it may concern:

Today I went to the Medical Evaluator in Perrysburg, Ohio. I had an appointment with Dr. Nathan Fogt. During my visit I was not treated professionally and was insulted repeatedly. Dr. Fogt was VERY rude and talked to me inappropriately. When Dr. Fogt walked into the exam room all he said was “this won’t take long I read your file” in a rude tone. This was my first appointment & meeting Dr. Fogt. Out all of my years of going to doctors, I have NEVER encountered a doctor that acted so unprofessionally and treated me with such insolent. To try and fix the awkward & unprofessional situation I introduced myself & gestured for a handshake, Dr. Fogt looked at my hand and said “we will get to that later” in a rude tone and did NOT shake my hand or properly introduce himself. To add insult to injury Dr. Fogt then states "you should know who I am you came out here” in a rude tone and tells me he did speak to me. I told him he did not. Realizing I wanted no part of this type of person examining me I informed Dr. Fogt I refuse to continue.

The above experience caused for me to walk out of the exam & decline Dr. Fogt services. I requested a Manager and spoke with Gwen Woolaver requesting a different Doctor. I advised her Dr Fogt was very rude and had not treated me with professionalism or courtesy. I also advised her I would be making a formal complaint about the way I was treated.

Gwen Woolaver tried to defend Dt. Fogt’s action by stating they do not form any relationship with patients and are not affiliated with the insurance company that sent me to their establishment. I advised her I did not want a relationship. It is only common courtesy to introduce yourself to a patient before an examination. Dr. Fogt had a very nasty attitude and if no other Doctors were available I would not let Dr. Fogt examine me.

I will NOT return to Dr Fogt and I will alert other potential patients as well. I have informed my Attorney of the incident who will forward this complaint to the appropriate parties.
