Unauthorized debit charges

The co. Has auto charged my debit account for a "bookclub" that I had no idea that I had "joined" when I called them they said they would refund 3 months of the charges, but they were not obligated to even do that and that I should have been checking my account information. I got the impression that a lot of people want to discontinue their "membership" and get their money back. I really hope that everybody will be much more careful when they order online. I have lodged a complaint with the FL BBB about this company. I looked online and I find that a lot of people consider this type of auto charge to be a scam.
