Terry Howard and Edward Jobst Sold a car they knew was crap called us names and rude

A-Action Auto Sales had Edward posting on Craigslist as for sale by owner a car, which we do have the ad printed out to see, which tells people that this car was sound and runs and drives great. After my son calls this person and talk to him about the car, he told my son it is a great running car, that he has it setting on a friends car lot to be seen more, so come take a look at it. Which he did, the car ran around the block with no problem, they get back to the lot where Edward tells my son that he could save on sales tax if he did it there.

My son not knowing said alright. The car looked alright for its age and he signed an as is title, the title was not from the owner of the car Edward, but A-Action Auto Sales. My son drives the car off the lot and not even a mile away it starts to blow out smoke and was leaking fuild from under the car, he took it back to the lot and told them what was going, where one the men on the lot laughing said Edward I thought you had that one sold, Edward said I do, both laughing. Edward told my son he would look at it but he was not a mechanic.

My son had called me and my husband to come up because he came from Anderson, In. To indy and was dropped off at the lot. He either needed a way home or some adivce from us, we get there and my husband asked Edward can he just get his money back and you keep the car, he said no. Well we were on the phones trying to find out what we could about this, and they were hearing our calls, which by this time my son was upset and cursing to whom he was on the phone with about what was going on!

They called the owner of the lot which is Terry, who came and talked with the guys from the car lot, then came to my truck and got up in my face. He told me that there was no lemon law and he had 25 years in the business and 10,000 to back him, I told him we would see about that, that we would take him to small claims court. He got even madder and told us to get the (F) off his lot more then a few times, then called me names told me I should know how to suck Di& and that my husband should keep his mohter off the street. Then he called the police and they told us we could not go back on the lot.

Now my son is out 1,800. And a car that does not run. We got it off the lot and towed to a mechanic who deals with import cars only I have the estimate they sent my son, it is for 2,429.43 that is twice the amount we paid for the car. They new this car was a death trap/crap car and sold it anyway. All we want is the money back for the car and the towing charges. We have not had this car 72 hours and out 3,000.00
