Particles from Filters

Filter statement says particles are normal first 1-2 fillings. I've used this product (switching from PUR) for more than 18 mos. The particles NEVER disapate. The bottom of the pitcher is covered with them and must be cleaned out aproximately every 3rd use. Soaking filters longer or in different degrees of water does not help.
