I posted a ad on craigslist, looking for any type of work anyone local had, and I get an email from this guy, about working at home. Accounting/Data Entry, Payroll.

I told him of the bat I was not gonna spend any money on what he wanted to do, so he said he would send me a check to use on the things I needed, a printer, check paper, and the software, which he included in the email, with a reg #, which, since he did that, I figured it's somewhat legit. Well, I get the check, in the amount of $3808.84 and the day he sends it to me, he tells me to use $300 of it for work needed items, $300 for my pay, and the rest to register with another online payroll. Well, I did my research (I'm not a complete idiot), he also called me, so the area code he called me from was a Kansas #, the Voice mail had a recording on it with a british accent, making me think, the phone was routed THROUGH Kansas, from another country. 2) The check was shipped from Dallas tx, and the name of the lady I was supposed to 'wire transfer' the registration lived in Houston tx, the company that had the return name and address on the UPS package, said NY. So I contact this guy, many times to talk this over with him, he keeps pasting me some of the quoted txt in his email, over and over again. Then, I know this is all a scam, so I go to confirm it, call the bank that the 'Cashiers Check' was drawn from, she tells me it's a fake. Just be warned.
