Wine bottles

We have been a strong customer of the charles shaw products, but this christmas caused an emotional change. Our daughter gave us a case of nouveau wine for christmas (which is our favorite). Our son-in-law carefully placed the 12 bottles in our decorative metal wine rack that can individually cradle 52 bottles and there has been many times we have had 52 bottles of charles shaw in the rack and never had any problem. But this christmas, while getting ready for dinner, holly slightly brushed the wine rack and suddenly all 12 bottles of the nouveau wine came crashing down on the hardwood floor. We are not sure what made more noise, holly screaming or the 8 bottles that broke. It appears the floor suffered minor damage and holly used at least 12-15 towels to clean it up. We just could not figure out why this happen until holly noted the new bottles of nouveau wine were slightly smaller which caused them to slip forward and allowed the backside to slip out of their cradle. Maybe we are stupid for not knowing this or maybe a warning at trader joes would have avoided this. Needless to say, we were shocked, but dinner still went on as 4 bottles survived the crash.
