I am writing in regards to a jobI had in Syracuse, NY, near Liverpool. I found this job on Craigslist. The person who postedthe adwas previously hired as a manager by Ambient Planet as I was told. He recruited me by responding to my e mail. It was a 5 day job, 5 hrs a day. Handing out coupons to businesses and door to door for Quiznos subs. It wasvery cold and rainy. Tough job. But I thought I was getting paid well for it so I dealt with the unpleasantness.

They told me it may take 6 wks to pay me but its been that much time already. I sent 5 e mails to Ernie over this time and not any response. I also called the number for the company, Ambient Planet and have gotten only a message and no one has returned my calls. I am concerned not only about not being paid and the insult that goes along with the injustice of being exploited, but also I provided them with my social security number and other private info on my contract which they said I had to fill out in order to get paid. I am concerned for identity theft. This stresses me out.

Who does this kind of thing? How selfish can you get? These are working class people just trying to get by working these jobs just to pay the bills. The other repercussion for me was that I said no to another job that I really could've gotten paid for because of this job. So I really lost out. Very disappointing.
