Alarm clock - emerson research alarm clock

I purchased an alarm clock from you with a back up battery and when it went bad, you did not carry the battery and i look elsewhere for it and cannot find it... I do not have alot of time to shop; therefore, i feel that if you sell the product, the battery for it should be sold there too. The clerk told me that, "we cannot sell all batteries" and i understand that but if you sell the product, the battery should be able to be bought there too... The product was emerson research with a battery size of 3v 2430... Not to be found in three other places i looked... Please help with this matte
