Lew Sterrett assaulted by jail guards

My husband is in jail for a civil matter, not criminal. He has had 2 incidents of assault by the jail guards. The latest one was the worst. My husband has no criminal charges and is not a trouble maker, but believes in telling the truth and standing up for his rights. He was sitting in the day room and requested to speak with a sergeant because the numerous requests he made with the guards had been ignored. The officer started cursing him and calling him names so he just laid his head down on his arms... Then the guard kept asking him who's the boss and told him he would beat his a* if he didnt answer... The officer started counting to 10 and my husband raised his head up, then the guard slammed his head into the table. Then put him in a choke hold, then slammed him on the ground face first. The officer then started bending his wrist and arm backwards... To the point that it felt like he would possibly break it. Then took him to the elevators and slammed him against the elevator walls. They took him to the nurse and joked about what they had done. This all happened on visitation day.

When i came to visit him later that day they told me they didnt know where he was, he was in the process of transferring... He wasnt there yet... Turns out the guards "hid" him on a lock down unit for suicide watch. They kept him there illegally for a full day to hide him from visitors and to keep him from using the phone. He said he had bruises on his body and that his back, neck, and arms are still hurting. They gave him muscle relaxers for his back but refused to do any xrays to check his back. He hurts so bad he couldnt stand to lay down until he got the medicine. How can this be reported without endangering his life? He sent me the grievance he wrote so that i can make copies before he tries to turn it in. I'm afraid for his life and what they will do once he turns in the grievance form. He asked for a sergeant or someone of higher rank and got beat up for it. The first time this happened the guard threatened him verbally, told him what "hood he was from", and punched the wall several times to intimidate him while other guards cheered him on. This time he was actually physically assaulted. And its extremely disturbing that they hid him a whole day. He even witnessed another inmate beaten to a bloody pulp (they had to take him to parkland) and the inmate did not do anything to physically provoke them. Help!!!
