This company is just a joke. The ads people answer is an ad that says warehouse, clerical and customer service. This month, it says "christmas rush" They have been kicked out of the Sacramento BEE several times and have resorted to placing ads in the penny saver and the employment guide.

When you first call, they set you up for a initial interview. Then they ask you if you are looking for just a job or an opportunity? Keep in mind that you just applied for a warehouse, clerical or customer service position... Now they tell you that they like you and think they can work with you and congradulate you and tell you to dress proffesional for the 4-6 month management training program.

The next day, you are told it is just a day of observation and you will not get paid for it, its just to see how our business works. You are kept in complete darkness as to what you will be doing until the last minute where they mention that you will be seeing only the sales and marketing side of the business today.

ALL YOU WILL SEE IS SALES, SALES, SALES. I went business to business (B2B) selling knife sets, calculators and bar b que sets my first day. They told us this stuff was $80 in stores and we had them for $5 bucks. Thats another issue.

They tell you its a 4 phase management training program that should take 4-6 months to complete. They tell you that its really simple if you study and practice the 4- 5 and the 8's

The 4 is the 4 factors of impulse
The 5 is the 5 steps to a sale.
The 8 is the 8 steps to success.

These are actually one of the great things they teach you that may be useful in other aspects of life, but there are strings attached.

1. You have to pay for the transportation. You are an independent contractor that provides gas, food and other expenses on your own.
2. You have to pay whomever you train on your team $50 per day regardless of what their own production was. You have to sell over $400 of stuff to make $80 per day. Subtract 10 for gas, and another 5 for food, put away 20 for taxes and you are really working for $45 per day.
3. The days are 14-16 hours long.
4. They say there are no sales quotas but they will make you work until 2am in the morning going to bars in the area to reach your "bell". If no bell, no training the next day.
5. No training means you are futher and futher away from your management opportunity.
6. Did i mention the 2 hours in the morning you are not getting paid for and the 2 hours after work that you dont get paid for?

This owner Leroy Patton makes guys and girls that get on his nerves go out with a foot order to prove a point. Who's the boss?
He is a 18 year ex-con that lies, cheats and steals in order to get his way.

Dont get into this business if you want to keep your place to live, family members and want any kind of life for yourself.

PS on a positive note, this organization would work a lot better if crooks like Leroy Patton didnt own his own branch. The system has worked for some people but if the promoting owners dont stack your deck for you, you will NOT make it into ownership. Ive seen people get stuck for 2-3 years in this business, mostly young people. I was in it for 9 months. I worked for cpea, kidzidz, innovage, cydcor which is all a subsidiary of ds. Max.
