First Premier Bank Put me on credit report because I refused the card AFTER terms were disclosed. When applying online, no way to refuse

I applied online for credit card offer that came in mail. Once you apply, you cant refuse, you are automatically approved. Once it was mailed to me, I discovered the unreasonable terms and refused the card and returned it and had to write a letter of refusal. They then turned it in to the credit bureau and it is on there now for 7-10 years and categorized as "closed" but everyone that reads it interprets it as "bad credit". Was told by the bank that it would be there 10 years and then told that it must be some other bank not them.
