A Winnipeg electrician - faulty wiring was close to causing a fire in our house

After buying our house, we had noticed that the lights had burnt out frequently for energy save light bulbs. We had also had problems with certain sections of the house. We had gotten my boyfriends dad in here to look at the problem and it turned out that the kitchen light had way too many wires and they were all hooked up to the wrong outputs and inputs. Like you know how the reds and whites and blacks have to match? It wasn't hooked up like that. The wires were literally frying and any longer it would have started a fire. After the wires and a few other lights and switches were fixed all the lights that we thought were burned out started working.
My mom and HER boyfriend had bought his house for us last summer, and the previous owners were the Blythes. Mrs. Blythe and her son lived here and her son had done the wiring. Apperently he's an electrician. If you can call him that.
Coincidentally enough, they also used to be me adn my moms old neighbors once when we were living on the main floor of a duplex. After they moved in above us, the Blythe son was tinkering with their internet hook up. Thy must have used dial up and tapped it into our phoneline because I picked up the phone to call someone and got a loud, ear piercing squeal. This went on for a few hours.
Never hire this guy.
