Money return not returned

On several occasions in different location drive thru or inside service the worker behind the counter takes upon them self to take your change and put it in there change jar or (tip) jar without asking or allowing the customer to make that decision. Tips are to insure proper service. What service is it when you stand in line and pay for something. Times are tuff enough i dont need some else to make my return change there free tips. And the alot of elderly people will not say anything and just leave and not go back there. The girl says after comlaing (oh you wanted that it was only forty cents but i worked for that. Am i right or wrong please let me know... I was so discusted plus being in the drive thru with lines behind me.
