When I first went to work for Jay Butler Trucking, I was working for an independent contractor and did sub-contract work for Jay Butler. Mr. Butler hired me on the basis of my work history as a good driver and dedicated worker sight unseen. Upon meeting Mr. Butler, it was obvious that he was appalled by my appearance (tatoos and bandana). But since he claimed to be a Christian I assumed that I would be treated fairly. This was not the case. On May 15, I was returning to Oklahoma from Amarillo, TX at 5:30pm 2 miles east of Pampa, TX. A storm developed and I was shoved down the road by an F2 tornado until it finally blew me over and while on my side, I called 911. While on the phone with 911, the tonado pulled me backwards and suspended me up in the air slamming me down on the otherside of the truck. Was rescued by a storm chaser for Amarillo news at which time I reportd to him that I though my right shoulder was broken. He gave me a ride to where I was met by a friend who gave me a ride home to Enid, OK where I sought medial treatment for my injuries sustained in the tornado. After 30 days of going to the doctor with no improvement with my medical condition, I decided to take matters into my own hands in an effort to conndition and strengthen my shoulders. Mr. Butler never one time inquired about my condition or called to see how I was (too busy being a Christian). As soon as Mr. Bulter learned I was working out a the gym (to improve my cndition), he cried fraud to workman's compensation and fired me before I was released from the doctor. He protested my unemployment which I fought for and was granted. Now 13 months later, both arms are numb to the extent that I am presently not working, and my private insurance is pay for my medical treatment resulting from tornado accident which occured while employed by Jay Butler Trucking. Beware of any man who claims to be a Christain and judges another for their appearance rather than having the common decency to inquire about the well being of his employee but instead fires him for being injured on the job. I may have tatoos and wear a bandana and ride a motorcycle but I harbor no ill feelings about the sorriest man inthe world to work for. But I will say a prayer for him and his sorry wife Peggy Butler that they reap what they sow.
