Door-to-Door Magazine Seller Took My Check; Stopping Payment

First off, my spidey sense wasn't working...

It seemed like a legit thing. He was nice up front, talked well, and knew what was going on, etc. He was selling magazines to either go on a trip or get cash, etc., and I get the magazines and some of the profits go to an organization for things like cancer, etc.

Well, it was about 20-25 minutes and I decided to get one, and such. I wrote the check (dumb of me) and he left.

Five minutes later, Google came up with this site and the BBB. This company is a shame! I told my wife to go hunt him down and alert the neighbors. The local police are looking for people that don't "fit" our town, and now everyone knows about this group. Their BBB rating is an "F."

I will be going to the bank to issue a stop payment, etc. So watch yourself!!
